Who We Are
Jack began his working career at Skehan’s Dairy, became the Treasurer of what is now Gardiner Federal CU, and later owned and operated an All-Star Dairy distributorship.
In 1963 Jack prepared his first tax return at his Gardiner home. He continued as a “one man show” until the mid-nineties, when the business became Jack Skehan & Associates, and moved to our current location, 30 Bridge Street, Gardiner, Maine. Over the years Jack witnessed the evolution of the income tax code from something fairly simple to the complex set of rules we follow today.
As experts in the accounting issues and tax laws that impact our clients we serve a wide range of individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, LLCs, and non-profit organizations by offering income tax and small business consulting. The firm’s goal is to continue providing efficient, expert tax preparation and planning solutions for businesses and individuals. With our full complement of employees we are able to service a continuously growing clientele.
We are members of several professional organizations including National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) and the Maine Association of Professional Accountants (MAPA). We have a great staff, which include five Enrolled Agents (EA), and an Advanced QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
